EDFR Model of the Technological Diffusion based on the Project initiated by Her Royal Highness from Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Using EDFR Technique

Abstract

The research aimed to study the trends of technological diffusion under the royal project initiated by
Her Royal Highness from Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn using EDFR technique, and to synthesize models
of technological diffusion under the project initiated by Her Royal Highness from Princess Maha Chakri
Sirindhorn. The target population was twenty one specialists selected by purposive sampling. The instrument
was an interview form for specialists in the first stage, two sets of questionnaires on the trends of technological
diffusion in the second and third stage. The statistics used were median and the differences of the first and
third quartile.
The study showed that the trends of technological diffusion consisted of five items: 1) policies, principles
and concepts of diffusion and promotion for information technology, 2) factors in managing information
technology promotion, 3) personal information of trainees, schools for information technology application, 4)
information of training courses, goals and qualities of trainees, and 5) indicators for diffusion and promotion
of information technology. The model of information technology diffusion consisted of four parts: 1) policies,
principles and concepts of diffusion and promotion for information technology, 2) model of information
technology diffusion, 3) indicators and frame of information system.
