Work Morale of Support Personnel at Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University

Abstract

The research aimed to investigate the morale for job performance of administration support officers
of Rajabhat Maha sarakham University, to compare the morale for job performance of the support officers
regarding gender, age, educational background and work experience, and to find useful suggestions for
the job performance. The samples were 205 administration support officers of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham
University. They were selected by the cluster random sampling method. Robert V. Krejcie and Earyle W.
Morgan method was employed to calculate sample size. The instrument was a questionnaire with a .933
reliability index. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the t-test (Independent
Sample) and the F-test test (One Way ANOVA) . Content analysis was used for analyzing descriptive data.
Results of the research were as follows:
1. The research findings showed that the overall morale for job performance of the officers was at a high
level The five high rated items of the morale were work conditions, personal relationships job satisfactionjob
security and salary and welfare
2. The findings indicated that the morale of the officers regarding the different educational backgrounds
was not significantly different at the .05 level. Whereas, the morale of the officers regarding the different
genders, ages, and work experiences was significantly different at the .05 level.
3. Regarding the frequency of suggestion, the most five frequent suggestions are salary and welfare,
job security, job satisfaction, personal relationships, and work conditions, Additionally, the officers require
absolutely accommodation and education fee of their children.
