Development of Piano Learning Management for Music MajorStudents at Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University

Abstract
The purposes of the current study were 1) to develop a piano learning management for Music majored students in Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University and 2) to examine the developed piano learning management for Music majored students in Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University. The study was developed in the research and development design and divided into 4 phases. Phase 1 aimed to study background information and current situation in the target area. Selected by the simple random sampling method, the samples were 13 piano instructors, 13 administrators and teachers, and 13 students majoring in Piano from Universities offering Bachelor degree of Arts in Music in Thailand. The instruments were a set of questionnaire investigating opinions of loaners and instructors and an interview form for administrators and piano instructors. Phase 2 was drafting of the piano learning management. 5 experts and 10 students, selected by simple random sampling, involved in the study to try out the developed learning management. The instruments were an assessment form, a skill evaluation form, a learning achievement assessment, and a satisfaction evaluation form. Phase 3 was the implementation of the developed learning management. 10 students majoring in Piano was selected using simple sampling method. The instruments were a skill evaluation form, a learning achievement assessment, and a satisfaction evaluation form. Phase 4 was conclusion of the curriculum. The samples were 10 students in the previous phase. The instrument was a satisfaction evaluation form.
The results of the study were as follows.
1. In the evaluation of the developed piano learning management curriculum, it was found that the curriculum was found at high level in terms of appropriateness reaching the set criteria. Considered each aspect, the appropriateness of the developed learning management was evaluated at the high level in terms of background information and current situation in the target area at the high level in terms of principles of the learning management, at the high level in terms of goals of the learning management, at the high level in terms of purposes of the learning management, at the high level in terms of learning processes, at the very high level in terms of learning medias, at the high level in terms of evaluation and assessment .
2. In the implementation of the developed learning management in developing piano playing skills of the music majored students in Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University, it was found that there was a significant difference between the students’ performances at the statistical level of .05. Moreover, the overall students’ satisfactory level toward the curriculum was found at high level
