The Development and Promoting Model for Quality of Life of Elderly for Local Administration Organizations in Sisaket Province

Abstract
The research aimed to study The Development and Promoting Model for Quality of Life of Elderly for Local Administration Organizations in Sisaket Province. Randomly selected sample group of the study were 400 members of Elderly Sisaket Province, 217 local administration officers, 15 experts to consider draft of model and 17 professionals to evaluate model. The research instruments were questionnaires, in-depth interviews, focus groups and model evaluation. Collected data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.The research findings were as follows: The developed model comprised 4 elements including principle, objective, operation and success condition. 1) Principle referred to participatory action of local administrative organizations and network partners in promoting and developing the quality of life of the elderly in holistic way in terms of cognitive, healthy, attitude, yearning, activity, dharma, and assessment 2) Objective was to promote and develop the elderly's quality of life in the aforementioned aspects. 3) Operation consisted of 3.1) cognitive by providing knowledge about the preparation before entering the elderly, health care, occupation, saving, data access and creating a channel to knowledge; 3.2) healthy by developing health network, establishment of health promotion, health center, medical examination, disease surveillance and health care dependence ; 3.3) attitude by paying attention, organizing activities praised, promoting value, participation in volunteer activities and a variety of clubs.; 3.4) yearning by providing social welfare, public service, fund, facilities, accommodation improvements and Developing environment; 3.5) activity by organizing activities, satisfaction, interaction and establish service center ; 3.6) dharma by organizing activities into the temple, chant and meditate and creating a channel to dharma; 3.7) assessment by promoting physical, mental, economic, social relations, environmental and development of quality of life evaluation. 4) Success conditions involved elderly, family and community are involved in the development of quality of life; local administration must take seriously and cooperate with all sectors and have adequate budget. The model evaluation assessed by experts resulted in a highest level of suitability and higher of possibility.
