A Model of Teacher Development Based on Professional Learning Community Concept To Enhance Public Mind of Primary School Students

Abstract

This research aimed 1)  studying of the problems and needs of public mind of  primary school students 2) to design a model of teacher development based on professional learning community concept to enhance public mind of primary school students. 3) Studying the results of A model of teacher development based on professional learning community concept to enhance public mind of primary school students. The research methodology was divided into 4 phases. Phase 1 focused on needs assessment consisted. The target population of consisted 148 teachers, directors and parents in Khamcha – I  Gaowna   network group of education. Phase 2 design of a model. Phase 3 Study results using the model. The target population of consisted 10 teachers and 70 students.  Study to students had public mind behavior and Evaluation  of Model.


The result of research were as follows. (1) The level of the students’ behavior in public mind  was moderate ,the problems about  enhance public mind were  a high level , directors and teacher need the enhance public mind of primary school students were a high level. (2) The component of the model consisted of 6 components: 1) content 2) purposes 3) teacher development processes 4) participant roles 5) critical success factors and 6) evaluation. Apply professional learning community process to workshop: share vision,  intentional Collective Learning,  Share & Learn (S&L), Team Working  and After Action Review (AAR). In  teacher development processes was divided into 3 activities: 1) workshop 2) instruction to Enhance Public Mind behavior 5 activity: Receiving Responding Valuing Organization Characterization and 3) After Action Review.


(3) For the results of model, teachers had average scores of knowledge after workshop period higher than the scores before workshop period at the statistical significance level of .01. The teachers  were satisfied with workshop was at a high level. Students had average scores of public mind behavior after learning period higher than the scores before learning period at the statistical significance level of .01.  The result of evaluation the model was shown that all aspects: suitability, usefulness and possibility were at  a high level.
