The Development of Dual Vocational Training (DVT) Model by Applying of the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy: Case study Mahasarakham Polytechnic College

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: investigate on the model components, develop the model and study the results of trying out the competency development model of Dual Vocational Training (DVT) model by applying the philosophy of sufficiency economy. There were three stages as follow; stage 1; study the components of Dual Vocational Training (DVT) model by synthesis and evaluation on the suitability. This was done with 266 participants from the sample group, stage 2; develop the model of Dual Vocational Training (DVT) model by applying the philosophy of sufficiency economy by workshop conference in order to get a pilot model. This was done by a group of 12 experts. Then 9 specialists attended the connoisseurship were to approve the model, and stage 3; a group of 90 participants researchers was to study on the results after applying the model to Mahasarakham Polytechnical College.


It was found that;


The model of Dual Vocational Training (DVT) model by applying the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy consisted of 6 components, and 28 indicators. As follow; 1) The co-operation included 4 indicators; 2) Curriculum management also included 6 indicators; 3) The institutions included 6 indicators; 4) The administration management in education included 5 indicators; 5) The classroom management included 6 indicators and 6) The evaluation and measurement included 3 indicators. The results from the workshop conference led to the application of the philosophy of sufficiency economy based on moderation, reasonableness, self-immunity, and knowledge condition, moral condition. With the approval of the connoisseurship, it can be summed that the three concern-aspects of the model were at the maximum suitability, and It can be concluded that the school where this model was implemented has shown its effectiveness. The satisfaction of research team was at the highest level. The evaluation of the model showed the implementation of the project was consistent with the philosophy of sufficiency economy and can be operated in accordance with their indicators.
