Inner Wisdom for Creating Consciousness to Growth in Mindfulness and Faithfulness through Professional Teacher Mind

Abstract

The purposes of the research study were 1) to cultivate teacher mindfulness and faithfulness of student
teachers 2) to growth the student teachers with characteristics of good teachers 3) to invent the student
teachers thinking skills regarding inner wisdom and 4) to compare inner wisdom of student teachers between
pre and post attending the activities for cultivating teacher mind. Mixed research methods were employed in
the research. The sample group was 16 first-year volunteer student teachers from Counseling Psychology-
Computer Education Program, Faculty of Education. There were three types of the research tools: The Faith
Growing for Developing Teacher Mind activity, the self-reports, and an inner wisdom test. Content analysis
and independent t-test were used for data analysis.
The results of the study were as follows: 1) The student teachers revealed that the teacher’s mind in 3
dimensions: love and self-esteem, love and faith in colleagues, and love and faith in profession.
1) The thinking skills regarding inner wisdom involved; Specific Conditionality, The Five Aggregates, and
The Characteristics.
2) The Faith Growing for Developing Teacher’s Mind activity raised student teachers’ characters including;
Love and Kindness, and Patience and Responsibility.
3) The student teachers who participated in the activities for cultivating teacher mindfulness and faithfulness
had average inner wisdom post score higher than pre score statistically significant at the level of .001.
