Field Trip arts and Cultural Resources Management Model for secondary Schools in Central area of Northeastern Thailand

Abstract
The purposes of the study were, to develop management models of cultural field trip resources for secondary schools in the Central Region of Northeastern Thailand. The research sample were selected purposively. They included 21 key informants, 25 casual informants, and 78 general informants. The research tools used were participant observation, a basic survey, interviews, and focus – group discussions. Data for this qualitative research were collected from documentary studies and fieldwork. Data were checked for accountability and analyzed in accordance with the research purposes.
The results were presented descriptively as follows. Concerning the management models of the cultural field trip resources for secondary schools in the Central Region of Northeastern Thailand, the study found the followings:
- The site of MueangFa Dad Song Yang,The site is located in Kalasin Province.should determine the space areas used for exhibitions and services. The archaeological objects being displayed should be fully described. Labels should be put up wherever needed. There should a rest or relax area for visitors. The site should have clean toilets, garbage cans and a souvenir shop. For academic service, the site should give out leaflets or brochures and there should be a tourist guide who could show the people around the site.
- For Ku Santarat, is located in MahaSarakham Province. there should be labels describing the history of this Khmer ruins particularly the archaeological objects; there should be a layout plane of the site, a food stand and a rest area for visitors. Finally, people should pay admission fee so that the authority in charge may have money for maintenances.
- For Bo Pan Khan, is located in RoiEt Province. the author suggested that there should be sings posted along the road in order to prevent getting lost. The site was suitable for holding academic camping. There should be network of related archaeological sites in the surrounding areas. The should be exhibitions detailing identities that link to Thung Kula Ronghai. There should be an authority in charge or people’s participation in the sustainable management of the site.
In conclusion, the management models of the cultural field trip resources for secondary schools in the Central Region of the Northeastern Thailand should used as a guideline for management school learning resources and at the same time assisting communities to become a learning society. The schools and community members will all learn about their own culture, live happily and conserve culture together.
