Abstract

The article titled “King Bhumibol’s Charisma : The powerful sword to chop down the deadlock of Thai politics” has a main purpose to explain the rapidly organizational culture change in court’s administration, especially in behavior and attitude changing from passive mind to active one in order to solve the crucial political problem. The style of changing is not activated by an outside surrounding of the court despite the very serious situation, but initiated by an extraordinary inside factor which is informal structure with powerful influence. This most special factor is the king who is the ruling elite of the organization. The king with the great charisma is the cultural factor inside the court as powerful cultural agent, not seen as the outside one. However, the king is not formally positioned in the hierarchical structure of the court, but he is very powerful to change the practice style of the court suddenly in order to solve the crucial political problem. This issue is so very fascinating to study in organization theory, especially in the area of organizational culture.
