Developing of People’s Democratic Way of Life in Upper Northeastern, Thailand

Abstract
This research aimed to study (1) people’s democratic way of life (2) factors effecting people’s democratic way of life and (3) development model of people’s democratic way of life. The research study was held on the upper northeastern Thailand. The sample were 500 people who was voter and living in the upper northeastern Thailand by Multi-stage Random Sampling, and key informants were representatives of political leader, politician, people, scholarly person and community leader. The instruments were the five rating scale questionnaire and the structure in-depth interview. Analyze data by descriptive statistics, Multiple Linear Regressions and the Content Analysis. The research results were found as follows;(1) people’s democratic way of life as overall was high level, considering each aspect there were at high for two and moderate for one, ranking mean from highest to lowest namely; the democratic living, the democratic ideology and the democratic knowledge respectively. (2) The factors effecting people’s democratic way of lifeby statistical significant at .05 levels were the family instruction, the schools instruction, the promotion from community organization, the political attitude, the political knowledge, and the political participation, those variable could be able predict for 37.4% with standard deviation error at ±0.292. (3) Development model of people’s democratic way of life were; the instilling the good attitudes towards politics, the development of the political knowledge, the family instruction promotion, the schools instruction promotion, the promotion and supporting of community organization, and promotion of political participation.
