Results of the Development using Cooperative Learning (CIRC) in mixed Local Literature of Thai Language of Prathom Suksa 5 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were : 1) develop cooperative learning management using CIRC, incorporating local literature in Thai language for fifth-grade students, achieving effectiveness according to the criteria of 75/75;  2) compare learning outcomes before and after learning through the cooperative learning management using CIRC with local literature; 3) study the satisfaction of prathom suksa 5 students towards the cooperative learning management using CIRC with local literature. The sample consists of 26 prathom suksa 5 students in the second semester of the 2023 academic year, selected through cluster sampling. The research instruments include: 1) learning management 12 lesson plans; 2) a test to measure reading comprehension ability; and 3) a satisfaction questionnaire for fifth-grade students towards the cooperative learning management using CIRC, using a five-point Likert scale with 10 items. The statistics used for data analysis include percentage, mean, standard deviation and dependent sample   t-test.

       The research findings indicated that 1) the development of cooperative learning management using CIRC, incorporating local literature in Thai language for prathom suksa 5 students, achieved an effectiveness of 79.98/82.97, meeting the established criteria of 75/75; 2) the learning outcomes after using cooperative learning management with CIRC and local literature were significantly higher than those before learning at the .05 level; and 3) prathom suksa     5 students expressed a high level of satisfaction with the cooperative learning management using CIRC and local literature.
