การใช้คำยืมภาษาอังกฤษแบบตัด-เพิ่มเสียงพยางค์ในภาษาไทยและภาษาจีนมีลักษณะแตกต่างกันโดยภาษาไทยใช้คำยืมภาษา
อังกฤษแบบตัดเสียงพยางค์มากกว่าภาษาจีนและใช้ตัดเสียงพยางค์ที่มีเสียงใกล้เคียงกับคำยืมภาษาอังกฤษเดิมในทางตรงกันข้าม ภาษา
จีนใช้คำยืมภาษาอังกฤษแบบเพิ่มเสียงพยางค์มากกว่าภาษาไทย และใช้เพิ่มเสียงพยางค์ที่มีเสียงแตกต่างจากคำยืมภาษาอังกฤษเดิม
The use of deleted/added syllable-sound english loan words in thai and chinese is different. Thai uses
more deleted syllable-sound english loan words than chinese. In addition, thai uses original syllable-sound
english loan words. On the other hand, chinese uses more added syllable-sound english loan words than
thai. The added syllable-sound english loan words used by chinese are different from the original
syllable-sound english loan words.
