Abstract

This research paper entitled “The Study of Sport Tourism Management Status” is part of the research entitled “The Study of Sport Tourism Management Guidelines”. The objective of this research was to investigate the status of sport tourism management. The sample of this study was 800 people who are stakeholders with Sport Tourism Management in Chon Buri and Buriram provinces, which were divided into 400 individuals per Province. The questionnaire was used as the research instrument. Data were analyzed through percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results indicated that the respondents had high level of their opinions towards status of sport tourism management in all aspects. When individual aspects were considered, two aspects with the highest mean score were economic impact and need for supporting development of sport tourism management. An aspect with the lowest mean score was tourists’ purpose in sport tourism.
