Legal Measures of Promoting Urban Agriculture in Bangkok

Abstract
The concept of urban agriculture has been reinvigorated to cope with food security issues in many cities around the world including Bangkok. However, land tenure is the major challenge for the agricultural movement in urban area. This research argues that in the case of Bangkok, the lack of specific legal frameworks in municipal level, apart from those implemented in national level, in promoting urban agriculture enhances myriads of problems regarding law enforcement. Therefore, this research attempts to study the significance of legal measures as an essential part in promoting urban agriculture for Bangkok in a concrete way in the future.
