Factors Influencing Community Potential in Dealing with Natural Disasters

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the influence of the people cooperation, the cooperation network, the public consciousness, and the disaster pressure affecting the capacity in dealing with natural disasters of the people in the community. The research results found that the variables of the cooperation network  and the cooperation of people in the community as well as the public consciousness had direct influences on the ability to handle natural disasters in the community. The indirect variables of the cooperation network and public consciousness had  influences on the ability to deal with natural disasters in the community. The variable that directly and indirectly affecting the cooperation network and public consciousness  had  influences on the ability to handle natural disasters in the community.
