Abstract
Solution to the Economic, Social and Environmental Impacts of Tourism Development : A Case Study of Thaka Floating Market Community
Tourism is an important source of income for Thailand, but affected economic, social and environment. This research aims to study economic, social and environmental impacts of Tourism Development in Thaka Floating Market Community and propose solutions to the impacts occurred. Using quantitative and qualitative research methods. A questionnaire was used as an instrument to collect data from a sample of 386 in Thaka Floating Market Community additional with observation and interview. Using Mean and One-way ANOVA for analysis and testing, this research showed that the overall result of Tourism Development Impact was medium, The Economic and Social Impacts have affected in positive high level but The Environmental Impact was negative medium level. For hypothesis testing found that The Economic Impact was significant difference in education, career, income and birthplace. The Social Impact was significant difference in sex, age, education, income and period of living. Finally, The Environmental Impact was significant difference in education, career and income. The solutions of these impacts for sustainable tourism are encouraging on long-term benefit, focus on participation to strengthen the community, self- reliance by creation of cultural activities and products, fair-dis-tribution of income by community’s management, maintain the identity to consistent the environment and community life.
