HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES OF SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY IN UDON THANI PROVINCE

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study factors affecting the formulation of a holistic development approach of the sub-district municipality in Udon Thani Province and 2) to uncover a holistic development approach for the sub-district municipality in Udon Thani Province. Being a combinatory research, on the one hand, the samples used in the quantitative research were a total of 233 municipal staff, permanent staff, employees of Nong Bua Sub-District Municipality in Mueang District, Udon Thani Province, and Up Mung Sub-district Municipality in Nong Wua So District, Udon Thani Province. Using a qualitative research, on the other hand, it features a total of 12 informants, namely the mayor, the deputy mayor, the municipal secretary and the people who came to use the service at the municipal office. The tool used in the quantitative research includes questionnaires about factors affecting the formulation of a holistic development approach of the sub-district municipality in Udon Thani Province whereas the tool used the qualitative research highlights semi-structured research interviews. The quality of the research instruments tested the alpha value was 0.951. The statistics used in the analysis of the quantitative data were descriptive statistics, such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation while those used in the qualitative research is analysis, synthesis, and result conclusion.
