THE STUDYOF HOUSEHOLD ECONOMIC FACTORSEFFECTING ON COLLEGE STUDENT’ PART-TIME WORK IN PHUKETRAJAPHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The research objectives were 1) to investigate on household economic factors effecting on college students’ part-time work in Phuket Rajaphat University 2) to study on the effects on college students’ part-time work in Phuket Rajaphat University. The research methodology was Survey Research. 382 informants were selected from Phuket Rajaphat University. The information was collected through questionnaires dividing into 3 parts; personal information, work related using check-lists and the effects on household economic factors to college students using Likert Scales. It was statistically analyzed using frequency distribution, percent, mean and standard deviation.

The research findings were as follows;

1) The investigation on internal factors impacting on college students’ part-time work in Phuket Rajaphat University, demonstrated that the most economics factor impacting on college students’ part-time work was that they would like to support their families ( =4.53) and they would like to make a living, so they didn’t necessarily depend family income ( =4.43). On the other hand, the most external factors impacting on college students’ part-time work was work incentives as their motivation ( =4.39) and higher living expenses ( =4.36) respectively.

2) The study on the effects on college students’ part-time work in Phuket Rajaphat University, demonstrated that the most benefit was they could support their families 59.00%.and income funds are used 24.00%and  the leasta more responsible3.00%
