THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE INSTRUCTION PACKAGES ON THE DIVISION OF PLANT LIFE FOR MATTHAYOMSUKSA 1 STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of the research were to develop science instructional packages on the division of plant life for Matthayomsuksa 1 students to meet efficiency criteria of 80/80 and the effectiveness index of 0.50, to compare the achievement before and after learning and to study students’ satisfaction toward the teaching of science using instructional package on the division of plant life. The sample were 30 Matthayomsuksa 1 students at Suksasongkhro Suratthani School. The instruments used for data collection were 4 sets of science instructional package on the division of plant life, an achievement test with difficulty index range from 0.25 to 0.63, discrimination index ranged from 0.25 to 0.63, and reliability index of 0.71, and a satisfaction survey questionnaire with reliability index of 0.84. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. t-test (Dependence) was used for hypothesis testing.

            The results revealed that the efficiency values of the science instructional package on the division of plant life were 85.67/88.67 and the effectiveness index of 0.67, the academic achievement of the students after learning was significantly higher than before learning at the 0.05 levels, and the satisfaction of the students was at high level.
