Abstract

The purpose of this research was 1) to study mental models of learners studying by Web-Based Learning Environment to Promote Mental Model. 2) to study learners' learning achievement. Target group used Are students at the vocational certificate level Phetchabun College of Agricultural and Technology, 1st Semester 2019, amount 30 people. Tools in the research are Web-Based Learning Environment to Promote Mental Model, Interview for mental model thinking and the achievement test. The statistical is Learners mental model by protocol analysis based on Merrienboer (1997) and analyze the learner achievement with mean, S.D. and T-test. The results of the research were as follows:


  1. Mental model found that 1) learners create 2 types of Declarative mental model, which learners explain their knowledge in solving problems, the process of programming that is complex and connected 2 or more, and learners explain knowledge that Applied from the old principles to the own knowledge. 2) the learners can also explain the Procedural mental model. The learners can explain the solution the model mind mapping and the learners can explain the steps about problem sloving process with various conditions for achievement by previously experiments step by step.

  2. Learning achievement of learners studying  found that. The mean score pre-test was 13.33, S.D. was 4.29 points and the mean post-test was 30.77, S.D. was 3.23 points. When comparing between pre-test and post-test, it was found that the post-test scores of the students were higher than pre-test. Statistical significance at the .05 level.
