THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE MUSICAL TALES FOR ENCOURAGE EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS OF YOUNG CHILDREN AT LA-OR-UTHIT DEMONSTRATION SCHOOL SUPHANBURI CAMPUS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) The develop a set of creative musical tales for encourage executive functions of young children. 2) The study the effect of using a creative musical tales set to encourage executive functions of young children. 3) The compare the results of developing encourage executive functions of young children before and after using the creative musical tales set. The sample consisted of young children, boys and girls at kindergarten 3 levels, aged 5-6 years, who were studying in the first semester of the academic year 2021 at La-or-Uthit demonstration school suphanburi campus. It was obtained by random sampling (cluster random sampling) using a lottery method. There are two types of instruments used in this research as follows: The instrument used in the experiment was a set of creative musical tales for young children. And the tools used to collect the experimental results were the executive functions skills form and the behavioral observation form. The experiment was conducted for 8 weeks, twice a week for 20 minutes each time. Analyze the findings obtained by determining the efficiency of the process (E1) and the efficiency of the results (E2). The statistics used in the data analysis were: Basic statistics such as mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The results of this research revealed that 1) The develop a set of creative musical tales for encourage executive functions of young children the process efficiency (E1) was 89.12 and the efficiency of the result (E2) was 92.51, It can be concluded that the creative musical tales activity set for encourage executive functions of young children that the researcher created can be used for experimentation in this research effectively. 2) The effect of using a creative musical tales set to encourage executive functions of young children have an average score of 9 skills. The total mean before the experiment was 4.04 the standard deviation is 0.18 and the total mean after the experiment was 4.78 the standard deviation is 0.11 and 3) The compare the results of developing encourage executive functions of young children before and after using the creative musical tales set have an overall average score and has the results of assessing executive functions for a successful life after the experiment was higher than before the experiment in all creative musical tales set. With a t-test equal to 4.24, the difference was statistically significant at the .05 level.
