Developing the Curriculum on Making Ban Rai Rice Noodle for Matthayomsuksa 1 Students (At Uthai Thani Province)

Abstract

ABSTRACT

                                                The purposes of this research were 1) to develop training curriculum on making Ban Rai rice noodles for Matthayomsuksa students in Uthai Thani Province, and 2) to examine the results of using training curriculum on making Ban Rai rice noodles for Matthayomsuksa 1students in Uthai Thani Province. The samples in this study was 40 Matthayomsuksa 1 students at Ban Rai Witthaya School in the second semester 2014, selected by simple random sampling method from the population, which were 5 schools from high school groups at Ban Rai District in Uthai Thani Province.  The instruments used in the study were as follows: 1) Training curriculum on making Ban Rai rice noodles, 2) a structured interview on the requirements for the curriculum, 3) the questionnaires on the requirements for the curriculum,    4) an achievement test with a reliability of 0.856. 5) the skill evaluation form on making Ban Rai noodle, 6) the attitude questionnaires on the curriculum with the reliability of 0.84. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, content analysis and t-test.

            The results indicated that :      

            1. The development of training curriculum on making rice noodles for Matthayomsuksa 1 students in Uthai Thani Province found that the curriculum include principles, goals, trainee property, structure, scope, content, length of time spent on training, guidelines for training activities, media and materials, and evaluation and assessment, and planning for training activities. Monitoring the quality of the curriculum, the value is 1.00. Therefore, the curriculum is consistent with the composition of the appropriate curriculum. And the observation of the behavior of learners, and the performance of students found that students were interested in activities and intended to make rice noodles and they were happy to learn.

                2. The results of using training curriculum to make Ban Rai rice noodles for Matthayomsuksa 1 Students in Uthai Thai Province of training activities for 13 hours. It was found that the students’ achievement after using the training curriculum  to make Ban Rai rice noodles was higher than before using the curriculum with statistically significant at the 0.05 level. The students had skills to make Ban Rai rice noodles at good level, and students had attitudes towards training curriculum on making Ban Rai rice noodles for Matthayomsuksa 1 students at high level.
