Abstract

The objectives of  this mixed-method research were 1) to study and analyze the feasibility of the technology and educational innovation, 2) to analyze the feasibility of Early Childhood graduates in creating and using the technology and educational innovation amid the Digital Disruption; and 3) to propose the concept of Early Childhood graduate production with innovation and educational technology amid the Digital Disruption. Secondary-data sources included published documents about the technology and educational innovation in the Digital Disruption Age. The primary data sources consisted of three experts. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires of 27 third-year Early Childhood students in the Academic Year 2019. The participants were selected by purposive technique. From the data triangulation, the qualitative data were analyzed by the content analysis technique. The quantitative data were analyzed by mode and percentage.

The research results showed that 1) there was a possibility for innovation and educational technology, 2) there were possibilities for Early Childhood graduates to create and apply educational innovations and technology amid the Digital Disruption with 100%, and 3) the concept of Early Childhood graduates production with educational technology and innovation amid the Digital Disruption must begin with curriculum restructuring, specially the 2 main subject groups which were (1) the one related to  learning management, and (2) the one related to innovation and educational technology focusing on enhancing case-study learning, together with situational synthesis and analysis, self-study through digital multimedia to be ready to practice. This was to enable the Early Childhood graduates, who would be the future preschool teachers, to effectively meet the needs of the preschool children in the Digital Disruption Trend. Early Childhood graduates must be able to design appropriate curriculum, contents, activities, learning methods for preschool children.
