Academic Administration of Schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 21, Bueng Kan Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the situation, and compare and study recommendations on academic administration of schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area Office 21, Bueng Kan Province. The sample group consisted of 38 school administrators and 271 teachers with the total number of 309 people. The tool used in this research was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with validity between 0.66-1.00 and reliability at 0.84. The statistics used to analyze data comprised mean, Standard Deviation; while, the statistics used in hypothesis testing was the t-test.      The research results found that: 1) The situation of academic administration of schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area Office 21, Bueng Kan Province, on the whole showed a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average was learning process development, followed by evaluation and assessment. The aspect with the lowest average were the development and promotion of learning resources. 2) The situation of academic administration of schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area Office 21, Bueng Kan Province classified by position, on the whole showed no differences, and when considering each aspect, it was found that the development and usage of media and technology for education was significantly different at .05; at the same time, the other aspects showed no differences and 3) The recommendations for solving problems of academic administration of schools could be summarized on important issues as follows: schools should provide technological media, online media and internet system for all classrooms; teachers should have various assessment processes classified according to the differentiation of students; and schools should purchase adequate technological media for teaching and learning.
