Role of The School Administrators towords the Teacher’s Opinion on the Special Classroom Management in the Secondary Education MEP Service Area 6 Samutprakarn Province

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to examine and compare the role of the school administrators according to teacher’s opinions on the management of the MEP program under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 6, classified by education levels and working experiences of the teachers. The samples were teachers under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 6. The sample size was determined at the 95% confidence level, ±5% discrepancy using cluster random sampling based on the number of school teachers affiliated with the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 6. The obtained samples were 310 teachers. The instruments were: 1) background information about the status of the respondents including teachers’ education levels and working experiences in a checklist form; and 2) a 5 rating scale questionnaire on teachers’ opinions on management of the MEP program.  The questionnaire was validated for the confidence level which indicated 0.991.  Then the scores given by experts in each item were used to consider for questionnaire revision. The questionnaires were tried out with a group of 310 teachers under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 6. The obtained questionnaires were analyzed for discrimination power by Pearson’s correlation between item-total correlation and item-total correlation. The results showed that the discriminant power was between .49 and .97. The results revealed that: 1) The role of the school administrators according to teachers’ opinions on the management of the MEP program under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 6, in overall, was at a high level. 2) The results of comparison of teachers’ opinions on the management of MEP program under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 6 classified by education levels and working experiences of the teachers showed differences according to the role of the school administrators, classified by education levels as follows: (2.1) The teachers with different education levels had an indifferent opinions in overall aspects on the management of MEP program under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 6. (2.2) The teachers with different working experiences had an indifferent opinions in overall aspects on the management of the MEP program under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 6.
