Instructional Leadership of School Administrators in United Campus Sereethai under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 Bangkok

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study teacher’s opinion on instructional leadership of school administrators in United Campus Sereethai under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2, Bangkok 2) to compare teacher’s opinion on instructional leadership of school administrators in United Campus Sereethai under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2, Bangkok, as classified by educational backgrounds and working experiences. Extrapolating from the Cohen, Manion and Morrison Table was used to determine appropriate sample size. The researcher selected a sample population consisting of 132 teachers employed at in United Campus Sereethai under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2. The samples were obtained through stratified random sampling, and simple random sampling methods. The research instrument was a set of five-scale rating questionnaires with the discriminative index between 0.51 and 0.92 and the reliability of 0.96. Descriptive statistics, were employed. The researcher analyzed the data in terms of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. A t-test technique and the one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) technique were also employed by the researcher.

Findings are as follows: 1) The teachers were of the opinion that the instructional leadership of school administrators in United Campus Sereethai in overall and each aspect were at the high level. 2) teachers with different educational backgrounds had opinions on academic leadership of institutional administrators of schools in Seri Thai United Campus under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area, District 2, Bangkok in overall and each aspect were not different. 3) Teachers with different working experiences had different opinions on academic leadership of institutional administrators of schools in Seri Thai United Campus under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area, District 2, Bangkok in overall and each aspect were not different.
