A Study of Academic Administration Competencies of Administrator under Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

The objectives of this research are twofold: first, to examine the competency levels of academic administration among school administrators within the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 3; and second, to analyze the differences in academic administration  competencies based on the experience of the school administrators and the geographical context of the schools involved. This research encompasses a sample of 125 school administrators affiliated with the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 for the academic year 2023. The samples were acquired through a method of stratified random sampling without proportion, utilizing the school's location as the geographical strata. The instruments employed in the study consisted of five rating scale questionnaires. The index of item-object congruence (IOC) ranges from 0.80 to 1.00, with a reliability value of 0.96. The analytical techniques employed for data examination included percentage calculations, mean determination, standard deviation assessment, t-test application, and F-test evaluation.

The findings were presented as follows: 1. The proficiency of academic administration among the school administrators within the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 is predominantly characterized by a high standard. Upon careful examination of each facet, it becomes evident that, when ranked in descending order of average values, the hierarchy is as follows: the aspect of curriculum development, followed by learning management, then the communication of learning management within educational institutions, and finally, the aspect of research promotion aimed at enhancing the quality of learning management. 2. The findings derived from the comparison of the competencies exhibited by the academic administration of the institution governed by the Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, taking into account the experience of the school administrator and the geographical context of the school. There exist varying degrees of notable distinctions in general proficiency as well as in particular facets. The threshold for statistical significance is established at 0.05.
