A Study of Internal Quality Assurance in Primary Schools Under Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Office Area 4

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the conditions of internal quality assurance in primary schools under Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Office Area 4 and 2) to compare the conditions of internal quality assurance in primary schools based on the characteristics of schools and the operation of education levels. The internal quality assurance in this study consists of the setting of educational standards, planing for the development of educational management, system and information management, the implementation of the development plan on educational management, monitoring the quality of education, the evaluation of internal quality of educational standards, the preparation of the annual report of the school and the development of continuing education. The samples of this research were 123 schools under Nakhon Ratchasima Primary Educational Service Office Area 4 classified in 60 small-size, 47 medium-size and 16 large-size schools. Informants were 123 school administrators and 246 teachers that were responsible for the quality assurance in schools. The data was collected by using a 5 rating-scale questionnaire with reliability at 0.952. Statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Hypothesis was tested using t-test and F-test, and difference of pairs was compared by using by scheffe method.
