Developing the Teachers’ Potential to Use Statistics for Research Khuanpittayasan School Kosumphisai District Mahasarakham Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research article were to 1) survey the problems of using statistics for research of teachers in Khuanpittayasan school Kosumphisai district Mahasarakham province 2) Study of steps to develop the potentials for using statistics for research of teachers in Khuanpittayasan school Kosumphisai district Mahasarakham province, and 3) to study the satisfactions of teachers in Khuanpittayasan school Kosumphisai district Mahasarakham provice after using the steps to improve the potentials for using statistics for research of teachers. The target groups were 19 teachers and one administrator. The instruments used for data collection were a survey of problem form , brainstorming form about the development steps and satisfaction test form. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results of the research were as follows: 1) The problems of using statistics for research of teachers were at a high level with 75.00 percent. 2) The steps for the development of the potentials to use statistics for research of teachers consisted of (1) organizing a working group meeting (2) analyzing current states of problems in using statistics for data analysis by studying data from the educational quality assurance system and related (3) organizing a seminar and workshop "The use of statistics for data analysis for research for development of teaching and school research" by studying the workshop manual on the use of statistics for research development (4) Supervision to monitor the implementation of the activities arranging workshops (5) removing lessons and creating KM, and (6) summarizing results and producing performance reports, and 3) satisfactions about development of potentials for using statistics for research. in general, it was at the highest level.
