The results of using a group process to develop teachers' capability in learning management in Active Learning for teachers under the Office of Learning Encouragement Phayao and Phrae Province

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the effects of using group processes to develop teachers' capacity to manage active learning for teachers under the Office of Learning Encouragement Phayao and Phrae Province 2) to compare the knowledge scores of teachers in implementing active learning before and after the training; and 3) to examine the teachers' opinions towards the group process activities. The research method is quasi-experimental with 72 teachers by simple randomization. The research utilized a 16-hour group activity plan, a knowledge assessment for active learning management, and a teacher satisfaction assessment. Data analysis used averaging, standard deviations, and dependent t-tests.
The research found that according to Trotzer's group process approach to enhancing the teaching capabilities of teachers in implementing active learning for teachers under the Office of Learning Encouragement in Phayao and Phrae provinces, there were five steps. Step 1: Establishing a safe environment within the group; Step 2: Gaining acceptance within the group; Step 3: Building self-accountability; Step 4: Generating change and improvement; and Step 5: Concluding the group. The comparison of knowledge scores in implementing active learning before and after the training showed a significant difference at the .05 level of statistical significance, with higher scores observed after the training. Additionally, the opinion level of teachers towards participating in the group process activities was rated as very high.
