The Relation Between Organizational Climate and Professional Learning Communitiy of Teachers in Secondary Schools Under The Saraburi Provincial Education Office

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the organizational climate of secondary school, 2) study professional learning community of teachers in secondary school, and  3) study  the relationship  between organizational climate with professional learning community of teachers in secondary school.


The sample were administrators and teachers at 21 secondary schools under The Saraburi Provincial Education Office total of 291 persons .Tools were the questionnaires as rating scale 5 levels. The statistics used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation.


The research findings found that:


1) Organizational climate of schools under secondary school was at a high level for overall aspects  (x̄= 4.20). The highest average was organization administration (x̄= 4.35) and the lowest was learning environment (x̄ = 4.02).


2) The professional learning community of teachers in secondary school was at a high level for overall aspects (x̄ = 4.12). The highest average was professional learning and development (x̄ = 4.22) and the lowest was supportive structure (x̄ = 4.02).


3) The organizational climate correlated positively with the professional learning community of teachers in secondary school statistically significant at the 0.05 level with 0.73 correlation coefficient (r). The high level correlation was organization administration (r = 0.78) and teacher professionalism (r = 0.78) and the low level correlation was learning environment (r = 0.24).
