บทความนี้ศึกษาเรื่อง การปะทะประสานระหว่างเศรษฐกิจประชาชนกับเศรษฐกิจทุนนิยม : กรณีศึกษาตลาดในลุ่มน้ำท่าจีน- แม่กลอง โดยมีคำถามว่าเศรษฐกิจประชาชนมีลักษณะอย่างไร  ตลาดในฐานะเศรษฐกิจประชาชนมีพัฒนาการจากอดีตถึงปัจจุบันในรูปแบบใดบ้าง และเศรษฐกิจประชาชนในตลาดดำรงอยู่ร่วมกับทุนขนาดใหญ่อย่างไร บทความได้แสดงให้เห็นว่าตลาดเป็นพื้นที่ของเศรษฐกิจประชาชนคนเล็กคนน้อยตลอดมา การค่าในตลาดเน้นความสัมพันธ์ต่างตอบแทน สังคมส่วนรวม เป็นเศรษฐกิจที่มีลักษณะเฉพาะพื้นที่ มีขนาดเล็ก ใช้แรงงานอย่างเข้มข้น และเป็นเศรษฐกิจในครัวเรือน การค่าในตลาดเป็นความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจ ที่มีมิติอื่นๆ นอกเหนือจากกลไกตลาด ตลาดมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงและปรับตัวจากตลาดน้ำที่ตอบสนองคนในท้องถิ่น กลายเป็นตลาดหลากหลายรูปแบบ ที่ตอบสนองระดับท้องถิ่น ถึงประเทศเพื่อนบ้านอาเซียน นอกจากนี้ เศรษฐกิจประชาชนในตลาดก็ดำรงอยู่ร่วมกับทุนขนาดใหญ่ ในลักษณะของการปะทะและประสานรวมกันเป็นเศรษฐกิจชาติ

Abstract

The article is to study on the confrontation and cooperation between the people economy and the capitalized economy through a case study of Marketplaces in Thachin-Maeklong Basin. In this study the author aims to explain the characteristics of people economy and its developments from past to present. Also, the author aims to show how the marketplaces with in the people economy adjusted themselves well with the large scale of capitalized enterprise. The article gives some evidences that the marketplace is the space for labor-intensive, household economy and small scale traders. Besides, there is a relationship between the traders and the consumers in marketplace. Beyond the price mechanism, they consider the reciprocal relation and social preference in exchanges. As the marketplace has changed from serving local area to serve both domestic demand and Asean Neighbour, the marketplace is now in different types. Furthermore, there is a certain relationship between marketplace and the large scale of capitalized enterprise to form the national economy with confrontation and cooperation.
