Dvaravati art represents an important form of cultural capital in Nakhon Pathom province, with considerable potential for creating economic value. However, its application in product development remains limited. This study aimed to 1) create contemporary products based on Dvaravati art that possess cultural and economic value, 2) enhance entrepreneurs’ capacity, and 3) develop a product development process for cultural entrepreneurs in Nakhon Pathom province. A mixed-methods research design was employed, and the study was conducted in four stages: 1) cultural capital synthesis, 2) analysis of entrepreneurial capacity, 3) participatory prototype development and market testing, and 4) product evaluation. The participants comprised 13 entrepreneurs and 100 consumers. The research instruments were assessed for content validity. Data were analyzed using content analysis, means, and standard deviations. The findings revealed that Dvaravati art could be incorporated into the design elements of 13 products that were feasible to produce and sell. These products encompassed textiles and apparel, household and decorative items, food products, and a book for young readers. According to the entrepreneurs’ evaluations, the communication of Dvaravati art through the products was rated at a high level (X̅ = 4.45, S.D. = 0.77), as was the production dimension (X̅ = 4.46, S.D. = 0.74), whereas the economic dimension was rated at the highest level (X̅ = 4.77, S.D. = 0.47). Consumers rated the design based on Dvaravati art at a high level (X̅ = 4.47, S.D. = 0.58) and the economic dimension at the highest level (X̅ = 4.70, S.D. = 0.51). As of 17 September 2025, the products had generated total sales of 1,196,713 baht. In addition, the Cultural Capital Product Development (CCPD) Model was synthesized from the research findings. The model comprises four components: 1) establishing a cultural capital foundation, 2) interpreting cultural capital and collaboratively developing concepts with entrepreneurs, 3) developing prototypes that consider production feasibility, and 4) conducting market testing. The findings indicate that participatory design grounded in cultural capital can strengthen product identity, enhance entrepreneurs’ capacity, and expand economic opportunities while preserving cultural values.
