Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ 1.) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพการใช้วารสารวิชาการสำหรับการค้นคว้าของนักศึกษาปริญญาโท มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏนครปฐม 2.) เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการประเมินวารสารวิชาการสำหรับการค้นคว้าของนักศึกษาปริญญาโท มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏนครปฐม และ 3.) เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาการใช้วารสารวิชาการสำหรับการค้นคว้าของนักศึกษาปริญญาโท มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏนครปฐม กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏนครปฐม ปีการศึกษา 2553 จำนวน 256 คน เครื่องมือวิจัยคือ แบบสอบถาม และแบบสัมภาษณ์ สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. นักศึกษามีความคิดเห็นว่า การใช้วารสารวิชาการในรูปสิ่งพิมพ์มีความจำเป็นต่อการเรียนและการทำวิทยานิพนธ์ โดยใช้วารสารวิชาการ 4-6 ครั้งต่อเดือน นิยมใช้วารสารฉบับใหม่มากที่สุดและเป็นภาษาไทย อ่านเนื้อหาในบทความทั้งหมด สืบค้นโดยใช้หัวเรื่อง และสืบค้นจากฐานข้อมูลวารสาร (รายการสาธารณะแบบออนไลน์หรือ OPAC) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาค้นคว้าการทำวิจัย หรือทำวิทยานิพนธ์ แหล่งค้นคว้าคือสำนักวิทยบริการและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏนครปฐม 2. นักศึกษามีวิธีการประเมินเพื่อเลือกใช้วารสารวิชาการโดยพิจารณาจากสาระสังเขปและเนื้อหาในบทความและต้องอ่านแล้วเข้าใจง่ายทั้งภาษาและวิธีเขียน และพิจารณาจากความรู้ความสามารถ คุณวุฒิของผู้แต่ง และเลือกวารสารวิชาการที่ตรงกับสาขาวิชาที่ต้องการ 3. นักศึกษามีความคิดเห็นต่อปัญหาการใช้วารสารวิชาการ ได้แก่ วารสารวิชาการมีกำหนดออกไม่ต่อเนื่องไม่สะดวกในการใช้บริการวารสารในห้องสมุด เนื่องจากขอยืมออกนอกห้องสมุดไม่ได้ และแก้ไขปัญหาโดยใช้วัสดุสารสนเทศอื่นๆ แทนวารสารวิชาการ

Abstract

The purposes of this research were as follows: 1) To study journals usage of Nakhon Pathom RajabhatUniversity’s master graduate students; 2) to study journal assessment methods of Nakhon Pathom RajabhatUniversity’s master graduate students; and 3) to study the problems of journals usage of Nakhon PathomRajabhat University’s master graduate students. The sample consisted of 256 students in the academic year2010. The research tools were questionnaires and interviews. Percentage, average, and standard deviationwere used for statistic analysis. The findings were as follows.1. In terms of printed journal usage, the students thought that journals were necessary to their learningand thesis writing. They used journals 4-6 times a month. They used current issues the most. The journallanguage was Thai and subject-headings were used for their searching by the journal online database (OPAC).The objectives of journal usage were to study or write their thesis. Their motivation of journal usage was tostudy. They used the journals in the Academic Resources and Information Technology Center in NakhonPathom Rajabhat University2. According to journal assessment, they considered the contents of articles. They usually readabstracts. They needed articles that were easy to understand both in language used and in writing style.They considered journals from authors’ qualifications and then chose those that matched their interest.3. As regards problems in using journals, they encountered all problems at a moderate level. Theissues were not uniform across journals. Using the library services, it is not convenient to use journals becausethey could not borrow journals from the library. They, therefore, used other sources of information insteadof journals.
