เมืองพิษณุโลกเป็นเมืองที่มีทรัพยากรสำคัญและเป็นชุมทางการคมนาคมในภูมิภาค ทำให้เมืองพิษณุโลกเป็นชุมทางการค้าขายแลกเปลี่ยนสินค้าที่สำคัญ ในพุทธศตวรรษที่ 22-23 เป็นช่วงระยะเวลาที่พ่อค้าชาวต่างชาติมาติดต่อค้าขายที่กรุงศรีอยุธยาจำนวนมาก ส่งผลให้เมืองพิษณุโลกได้อาศัยผลประโยชน์ทางการค้าแสวงหาอำนาจเพื่อต่อรองและสร้างดุลอำนาจกับศูนย์อำนาจรัฐ และสร้างความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้ากับชาวต่างชาติ บ้านเมืองใกล้เคียงและเมืองบริวาร

Abstract

Phitsanulok has important resources and is a transportation hub of the region. Phitsanulok is a tradingcentre to exchange goods. In the 22nd to 23rd Buddhist era of, it was a period that foreigner merchants cameto trade in Ayudhya. Therefore, Phitsanulok took advantage from the trading to seek to build the balance ofpower with centre of power state, and to build up relationships in trading with the foreigners in neighbouringcountries.
