Program to Strengthen an Effective Team Leadership for first-line Secondary School Administrators

Abstract

The purposes of the research were to study 1. the investigate factors and indicators of an effective team leadership of the first-line secondary school administrators. 2. the desirable characteristics of effective team leadership which the samples were 540 people of administrators and teachers in the first-line secondary school. 3. the development of the program for strengthening the effective team leadership. The tools using in this study were the questionnaire, and the interview form. The statistic using for analyzing data were the Mean and Percentage. The research results were as follows; 1) The 6 elements of effective team leadership of administrators in secondary school including (1) Goal Setting, (2) Participation,   (3) Responsibility, (4) Relationship, (5) Communication, and (6) Leadership Practice together with 22 indicators. 2) The present characteristics of the effective team leadership were at the medium level, and the desirable characteristics of effective team leadership were at the highest level. 3) The developed program for improving the effective team leadership consisted of the components of program—(1) the introduction of the program, (2) the objectives of the program, (3) the model and technique for development, (4) the content and essential material of the program, (5) the structure of the program, (6) the learning activities of the program, (7) the technique for development, (8) the learning media and material of the program, (9)The assessment of the program.
