The Model for Quality Management of Program In Faculty of Education, Rajabhat University in The Lower North Region

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1. to study the elements of quality management of program, 2. to study the conditions, the problems and the needs of quality management of program, 3. to develop and evaluate the model for quality management of program, and 4. to develop and evaluate the manual and the suggestions of the model for quality management of program in Faculty of Education, Rajabhat University in the lower north region. The sample consisted of 184. The data were collected through a questionnaire, an interview and an evaluation form. The data were analyzed by using content analysis, synthesis of elements, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and standard criteria evaluation form. The research findings were as follows: 1) The elements of quality management of program consisted of the first major element is scope of program management and the second major element is process of quality management of program. 2) The result of the conditions, the problems and the needs of quality management of program, as the whole of the conditions were at the moderate level, the problems were at the high level, and the needs were at the highest level. 3) The model for quality management of program comprised of 3 parts: part 1 input consisted of context of the model, principles and reasons, and the purpose of the model, part 2 process consisted of management structure, scope of program management, process of quality management of program, implementation of the model, conditions and factors leading to success, and evaluating implementation of the model, and part 3 consisted of the results of applying the model. The results of evaluating the appropriateness, feasibility, and usefulness of the model were found at the highest level with the standard criteria evaluation form. 4) The manual and the suggestions of the model for quality management of program in Faculty of Education, Rajabhat University in the lower north region, the manual consisted of 9 elements: principles and reasons, the purpose of the manual, implementation of the manual, scope of program management, the roles of personnel in the operation of the model, the main elements of the model for quality management of program, evaluating implementation of  the model, evaluation form of the implementation of the model, and references. The results of evaluating the appropriateness of the manual as the whole were at the high level with the criteria evaluation form. The suggestions consisted of 2 elements: policy suggestion and practical suggestion. The results of evaluating the appropriateness of the suggestions as the whole were at the high level with the criteria evaluation form.
