The Relationship between Working Motivation and Work Efficiency of School Nursing Assistant Staff in the Northern Region

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to studies: (1) the working motivation of school nursing assistant staff in the Northern Region, 2) the work efficiency of school nursing assistant staff in the Northern Region and 3) the relationship between working motivation and work efficiency of school nursing assistant staff in the Northern Region. The population used in this study consisted of 194 school administrators, teachers, and nursing assistant staff in the Northern Region of the academic year 2020. The instrument used in the research was a questionnaire with a 5-level rating scale. It was reliability 0.97. Data were analyzed in terms of frequency, means, standard deviation and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The findings were as follows; 1) the overall and each aspect of working motivation of school nursing assistant staff in the Northern Region were at a high level as follows; salary and welfare, the work environment, relationships with people in the department, career progress, the success of the job and respect, respectively. 2) The overall and each aspect of work efficiency of school nursing assistant staff in the Northern Region were at a high level as follows; the quantity of work, the quality of work, operational resources, working time, and the working process, respectively. 3) The working motivation was high level of positive correlation with the work efficiency of school nursing assistant staff in the Northern Region which was statistically significant at the 0.01.
