The Development of Thai Sign Language Multimedia on Home Economics for Students with Hearing Impairment

Abstract

The main objective of this research was to develop an effective Thai Sign Language Multimedia on home economics for students with hearing Impairment. The participans were 5 experts including : two home economics experts, two specialists in sign language for students with hearing impairment  and one multimedia specialists. The instruments used in this study were Thai Sign Language Multimedia on Home Economics for Students with Hearing Impairment and the evaluation form for measuring an effectiveness of the Thai Sign Language Multimedia on Home Economics for Students with Hearing Impairment. The research found that an effectiveness of Thai Sign Language Multimedia on Home economics for students with hearing impairment were rated by the experts at very high level. Mean score was 4.51 which was at the highest Level. Considering each aspect, it was found that the highest mean was the Aspect 4: the use of sign language (M=4.80), followed by the Aspect 2: the components of multimedia (M=4.44), the Aspect 3: the use of language (M=4.40) and the lowest mean score was the Aspect 1:  the content of learning (M=4.38) respectively.
