The Development of Library to Enhance Learning Process on Local Wisdom Cooperation Between College Library and Mueang Kao Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sukhothai Province

Abstract

This is participatory action research which aims to study the condition and problems of the library of Sukhothai College of Dramatic Arts and the development of the college library to promote the learning process of local wisdom by cooperation between the college library and the community, Mueang Kao Sub-district, Mueang District, Sukhothai Province. The research methodology was divided into 3 phases: Phase 1-Library for Development, Phase 2-Local Knowledge Stage. "Good People Sri Sukhothai" and Phase 3-Joining the mind to create learning for 12 months from May 2020 to April 2021. The tools used for data collection were an informal interview, observation form, and questionnaire. The data was obtained from interviews, observations, questionnaires, and group discussions by using a content analysis method, verifying data in parallel with field data collection. Then the analyzed data was classified and categorized linking Interpreted until it was concluded. The results showed that 1) The library of Sukhothai College of Dramatic Arts, Mueang District, Sukhothai Province was developed to the Library of Higher Education Institutions B.E. 2544 according to the announcement of the Ministry of Universities with the cooperation between the college and the community. All parties participated in the study of the problem and went to study the model library for good work and service. Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, Phibunsongkhram Rajabhat University, Plai Chumphon Sub-district, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province had passed the Green Library Assessment at an excellent level (Gold Medal) in 2020. The information was received and applied to sustainable and systematic development towards the goal. It is a modern learning center that meets the needs of service users, including organizing various types of activities with the cooperation of the community ; 2) Library development is to promote the learning process of local wisdom and it is a pride for the community where is involved in providing education to promote local wisdom. The library is the coordinating department for local administration to participate in bringing local wisdom to convey information about geographical indications and local wisdom. The importance of local value is presented to students and service users resulting in a caring learning process, realizing the importance of local communities. This creates awareness among students to love the community, build solidarity among the group which leads to sustainable learning about local wisdom based on a learning society.
