The Development of Learning Materials about Like Pa for Mathayomsuksa 2 Students

Abstract
The research objectives were to 1) develop learning materials about the Southern Thai folk musical theater (Like Pa) for Mathayomsuksa 2, 2) compare the students' learning achievement from their pre-test and posttest, and 3) investigate students' satisfaction with the learning materials. This research is research and development, the informants were cultural experts and Mathayomsuksa 2 students. The research instruments consisted of the course materials about Like Pa, a learning manual for using the course materials, learning management plans, achievement tests, and the satisfaction survey. The results revealed that the researcher could develop a learning material about Like Pa with three completed innovative educational components for three volumes. Volume 1: Basic Knowledge of Like Pa, Volume 2: Conceptual introductory to play Like Pa, and Volume 3: A performance of a folk Thai musical theater: Khaek Daeng. The experts rated the overall quality of the three volumes at the highest level. Moreover, the students' overall satisfaction was ranked at a high level. The results suggested that educators and experts should develop educational innovations regarding local wisdom and culture to inherit and maintain the uniqueness of Thai wisdom and culture.
