Relationship Between Key Factors of Inventory Management Affecting the Cost and Service Level of Phetchabun Entrepreneurs in Online Sweet-Tamarind Business

Abstract

This research studied the causal influencing factors on cost and level of customer service of online sweet-tamarind entrepreneurs in Phetchabun Province. The population was Phetchabun entrepreneurs in online sweet-tamarind. The research used 330 questionnaires to collect data. The researcher collected data with non-probability and purposive sampling. Statistical analysis used descriptive statistics analysis and structural equation model analysis. The research results showed that (1) the structural equation model was a good fit with the empirical data based on the statistical values ​​being considered. and (2) the inventory management in customer demand forecasting, safety stock, and lead times aspects had a significant, positive indirect effect on the cost and service level through the inventory level. This research recommended that Phetchabun entrepreneurs in online sweet-tamarind business apply accurate forecasting, the economic order quantity, and the shared of operation time information between entrepreneurs and suppliers to balance between the highest level of customer service and the lowest cost.
