Development of Ability and the build Potential the Living of the Elderly at Ban Khek Noi Phetchabun Province by using the Community-Based Self-Reliance Method for Stability, Strength and Sustainability

Abstract

This research article has objectives: 1) To study behavior and needs of the elderly in Ban Khek Noi 2) To study the problem factors and promote factors affecting the lifestyle of the elderly in Ban Khek Noi 3) To design strategies for enhancing the living potential of the elderly in Ban Khek Noi Phetchabun Province with a self-reliant approach using the community as a basis for stability, strength and sustainability. It is a quantitative research. and qualitative. The sample group was an elderly person living in Khek Noi Village. Use specific randomness of 50 people. Data were collected by using the questionnaire on competency development and life potential enhancement of the elderly and interviewing the elderly and analyzed for confidence using Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient (Paisan Worakam, 2016) The confidence value of the questionnaire was found to be 0.89. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Statistical data analysis, including arithmetic mean and the standard deviation. The Research results are found: 1) Elderly people of Ban Khek Noi Phetchabun Province. There are activities with family and community is always. They feed and vegetable gardening that can be used for cooking or generating income for the family. But there is still a need from the government for help with basic health care, disease treatment, They need a doctor in the health promotion hospital and transport to the hospital, should have modern medical equipment. They want have caretakers to continuously to take care of my body to be healthy. 2) Problematic factors and Factors affecting the lifestyle of the elderly in Ban Khek Noi from qualitative data analysis found that elderly people have health problems such as high blood pressure, kidney disease, diabetes, etc. The economic namely having insufficient income for spending, dependent on children, relatives, mental problems such as the body is not strong. Economic, money is not enough for spending. The social There want to meet with family members and children to relieve loneliness and closely monitor 3) The Strategy design and present strategies and and the build Potential the living potential of the elderly at Ban Khek Noi Phetchabun Province as follows 1) Improve the well-being of the elderly in terms of physical, emotional, social and spiritual health. 2) Develop the relationship of the elderly to be able to live in the family and community 3) Promote the potential of the elderly to participate in preserving local culture. 4) Development career for the elderly to participate in economic and social development.
