A Study of Discussion Reflection Skills Using the Learning Log Method of Primary School Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) compare students' learning achievements before and after organizing learning activities, 2) compare discussion reflective skills using the learning log writing method before and after organizing learning activities, 3) compare results of learning activities between groups receiving discussion-based reflection activities using the learning log method, and 4) study the satisfaction with the discussion reflective activities by using learning journal writing method. There were 3 phases of the research process. The sample group was 70 students in Pranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University Demonstration School (Primary Department) in the first semester of the first semester of the year 2022. The research instruments were an activity package lesson plan achievement test with a reliability coefficient of 0.95, a skill assessment form with a reliability of 0.83, and a satisfaction assessment form with a 0.89. Statistics used for data analysis were mean, and standard deviation. and t-test the results of the research showed that 1) students had higher learning achievement after learning than before at the statistical significance at the .05 level, 2) The students had a higher level of reflective thinking skills after using the method of writing a learning journal than before with the statistically significant at the .05 level, 3) the average score of the experimental group that received discussion-based reflection activities by writing the learning log at the statistical minigame of .05 was higher than the control group that received normal learning activities. and 4) students were satisfied with the discussion reflective activities using the learning log writing method. at the highest level.
