Self-awareness Process to Members of Community Throughout Experiential Learning Theory: A Case Study of Bang Sa Kao, Laem Singh District, Chanthaburi Province

Abstract
This research aimed 1) to study the relationship between the self-awareness process and the experiential learning theory, and 2) to present an approach to self-awareness through the experiential learning theory by analyzing related research documents and fieldwork at the Natural and Environmental Learning Center (Baan Pla, Thanakhan Puu), Bang Sa Kao subdistrict, Laem Sing district, Chanthaburi province. The analysis results found that 1) The self-awareness process was related to the experiential learning theory, namely reflective self-awareness, ruminative self – awareness, metacognition, and mindfulness through the cycle of experiential learning theory, consisting of concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation; 2) The self-awareness through the experiential learning theory was performed by fieldwork activities, such as genogram, wisdom base (Lam Suat Phra Malai), Photo Stories: About us-Our Narration-Our Stories, and the learning stream graph. Therefore, experiential learning theory was guided an approach which enhanced self-awareness; because experiential learning theory emphasized the application of existing knowledge, skills. It also emphasized to continuously develop and to integrate new knowledge for human being.
