Abstract

This project is about making a new Thai musical song called "Suvarnabhumi" with the goal of sharing the basics of music composition. The song is inspired by historical information, focusing on the richness of Suvarnabhumi in terms of culture, traditions, ethnicity, and way of life. It aims to represent Suvarnabhumi as the original home of the Siamese people through the melody. The main language in the song is from the Khmer ethnic group, and the Lao ethnic group is also used. The song follows the fa scale of the Piphat Mai Nuam band. It is divided into two parts, each with 8 beats, and has a rhythm with two layers and one layer. Lao overtones are included to complement the music. Special attention has been given to the ending paragraph of the song. The results of this project are meant to help with learning music composition and can be used for dancing.
