อัตลักษณ์ดิจิทัลและการพิสูจน์ยืนยันตัวตน

ในประเทศไทยพระราชกฤษฎีกาว่าด้วยการควบคุมดูแลธุรกิจบริการเกี่ยวกับระบบการพิสูจน์และยืนยันตัวตนทางดิจิทัลที่ต้องได้รับใบอนุญาต พ.ศ. 2565 ได้วางกรอบกำกับดูแลการให้บริการพิสูจน์และยืนยันตัวตนตามกฎหมาย แต่บริบทของบริการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอัตลักษณ์ดิจิทัลมีพลวัตและขอบเขตกว้างขวางกว่านั้น บทความนี้จึงอธิบายความสัมพันธ์และนิเวศน์ของบริการดังกล่าวให้เห็นภาพประกอบกับหลักการตามกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยแสดงให้เห็นพื้นฐานที่ระบบบริการพิสูจน์ยืนยันตัวตนของไทยเป็นในลักษณะรวมศูนย์และอ้างอิงข้อมูลภาครัฐเป็นสำคัญ ทำให้ยังไม่มีการเตรียมการรองรับระบบพิสูจน์ยืนยันตัวตนแบบไม่รวมศูนย์หรือ DIDs โดยเฉพาะประเด็นการทำงานร่วมกันและยอมรับนับถือบริการของผู้ให้บริการข้ามพรมแดน
