The legal problems on stutus and legal results of The Medical Council’s orders in Thailand

The Medical Council of Thailand is a professional order that formed by the integration of medical practitioners. The duty of controlling the practice of doctors, to respect the medical ethics and the medical professional laws, is the primary role of the Medical Council. It is also in charge to promote and support all activities which lead to develop the Council to be a progressive and stable organization. The objectives, structure and authorities of the Medical Council of Thailand are accordance with the Medical Profession Act BE 2525, which is the main law, and also concerns other related laws. In order to achieve the objectives and the missions, the Medical Council has the expressions and the actions in many ways; “the orders” are the actions that often expressed. The orders are appeared in any procedures of The Medical Council and also have various legal status. Some actions are considered not the order, but some actions are realized as the general order or as the administrative order. The diverse legal status of actions and orders of the Medical Council will result in different ways of legal consequences and of legal relations of those involved in. Thus, it is interesting to study the status and the results of The Medical Council’s orders in Thailand. This study is not useful only for the legal academic field but also useful for those who affected by actions and orders of The Medical Council of Thailand.
