System of New Plant Variety Protection: A Comparative Study of Law

Plant varieties are important natural resources which need a protection from a State. Many States have realized for a long time how indispensable it was. In order to provide the protection for plant varieties from threats, some countries have started from drafting their own law on plant varieties protection. That is a reason why we can observe many different progresses of legislation among countries. Moreover, States have used an international conventional law as an instrument for plant varieties protection. We cannot refuse a necessity of studying of plant varieties protection systems in order to make a decision for our plant varieties law amendment, meanwhile, public interest should be respected.
