Analytical Study of Problems Concerning Procurement of Revolving Capital, Coin Production and Work Production

The Royal Thai Mint is an agency under the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance. Its major mission is to produce coins, commemorative mint coins and commemorative coins for special events, insignia, and other coins. According to its expanding missions and increasing demands of mint coins, it is necessary for the Royal Thai Mint to streamline its working system and procedure to increase its efficiency and more align with its growing missions. However, the Royal Thai Mint’s procurement system is still subject to the normal government procurement system which is criticized for its inflexibility and poses many challenges to the working of most government departments. For this reason, it is crucial that a further study is needed for the Royal Thai Mint to establish its own procurement regulations in order to enhance its flexibility and efficiency for its missions.
